We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient management of stock, order processing, and deliveries.
Role Overview:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, team supervision, order fulfillment, and maintaining high safety and organizational standards. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time, contributing to the overall success of our business.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
· Warehouse Operations Management:
o Manage the receipt, storage, picking, packing, labelling and dispatch of FXF Sports’ boxing, MMA, gym, fitness and leisure products.
o Plan and organise daily warehouse workloads according to incoming deliveries, customer orders, seasonal demand and promotional activity.
o Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, labelled and dispatched accurately and within required timescales.
o Develop and maintain effective warehouse procedures to improve operational efficiency and order accuracy.
o Ensure goods received into the warehouse are checked, recorded and stored appropriately.
· Inventory Management:
o Maintain accurate stock and inventory records using appropriate warehouse and stock-management systems.
o Conduct regular stock checks and audits and investigate any stock discrepancies, shortages, losses or damaged goods.
o Monitor stock availability and identify products requiring replenishment.
o Organise warehouse storage efficiently to maximise available space and ensure products can be located and handled safely.
o Monitor damaged, returned or unsuitable stock and ensure appropriate records and procedures are followed..
· Staff Supervision:
o Supervise warehouse staff and allocate duties according to operational requirements.
o Prepare work schedules and organise staff coverage during busy periods, seasonal peaks and promotional activity.
o Monitor staff productivity, attendance, performance and order accuracy.
o Provide appropriate training and guidance to warehouse staff.
o Ensure staff understand and follow warehouse procedures, safety requirements and operational standards.
· Deliveries, Dispatch and Logistics:
o Coordinate incoming deliveries and outgoing collections with suppliers, couriers and logistics providers.
o Monitor dispatch times and ensure orders are transferred to delivery providers within required timescales.
o Liaise with couriers and suppliers regarding delivery delays, missing goods, damaged products or other operational issues.
o Manage product returns and ensure returned goods are inspected, recorded and processed appropriately.
· Health, Safety and Security:
o Maintain safe warehouse storage and working practices.
o Ensure appropriate manual-handling, fire-safety and workplace security procedures are followed.
o Conduct or assist with regular warehouse safety checks and risk assessments.
o Ensure warehouse areas are kept clean, organised and free from unnecessary hazards.
o Provide staff with appropriate instructions and training regarding safe working practices.
· Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Monitor warehouse performance, including stock availability, dispatch times, order accuracy, productivity and stock discrepancies.
o Use warehouse management systems and other relevant software to maintain operational and inventory records.
o Prepare operational, stock and performance reports for senior management.
o Identify operational problems and recommend practical improvements to warehouse processes and efficiency.
· Customer Service Support:
o Work with the customer service team to resolve order-related issues, including incorrect orders, delivery delays, returns and stock discrepancies.
o Investigate warehouse-related customer complaints and take appropriate corrective action.
o Support improvements to warehouse processes aimed at reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction..
